Great to see this scheme almost tripled in funding. And also more evidence of what most deny, how status runs societies. The moment this incentive was first announced, people rushed to put the largest batteries they could on their homes, like the rush to get bigger and bigger wankpanzers in their driveways. Way beyond the storage they will ever actually need or be able to fill with their solar, and off with the fairies in terms of cost-benefit calculations. Thankfully the government has now put a stop to those status games with battery sizes. Let’s see what people choose next to turn into a status game.
