I’ve been called a ‘germaphobe’ a few times in recent weeks. Because I still wear a mask. I couldn’t care less, the people who said it are like most people in this pandemic, dumb as a box of hammers. Covid isn’t ‘germs’ like you pick up in the backyard. It attacks every blood vessel in your body, in every organ, and also dismantles your immune system, as HIV does. People feel comforted because they have a ‘mild’ illness, which passes relatively quickly. HIV is mostly a mild illness too, when you catch it. It’s irrelevant, just the on-ramp for the virus. You won’t feel what the virus may be doing to your body over the next few years, while it’s taken residence inside you. Until it’s too late. You get to choose how long you survive by what you do right now. The heart disease epidemic in the 20th century (people rarely died of heart disease before the 20th century) is thought to be linked to the Spanish Flu at the start of that century. The millions who died of heart disease in that century were likely people who were carrying latent Spanish Flu in their bodies. Society is now too stupid to survive. I honestly believe that.
