Did you know 99.9% of businesses in the US are small businesses? 94% in Australia. The ones mostly hammered by COVID, because small businesses nearly all fail inside 5 years even without a pandemic. This is why the pandemic has been damaging to ‘business’, larger firms have been able to carry on, mostly. The old normal wasn’t normal, it was dysfunctional. A nation of small businesses is a nation of underpaid and overworked people. It’s only small business that makes us think ‘business’ is even a thing. Larger businesses just run like mini societies, not businesses.
