I rarely go to gigs. Call me old-fashioned, I grew out of them, much preferring a night in in front of the telly. But for the sake of the historical record I love that the greatest live band of all time, by many country miles, is still showing it. This is a review from their current US tour. Live Aid is always given as evidence of how great a live band they were, when they embarrassed the biggest names in history on that day, blowing them all off the stage. But that wasn’t even a particularly good Queen gig, so even on an OK day, they were already head and shoulders above everybody else. On a good day they were (and are) simply stunning.
