I enjoy watching people posting about electric cars to social media, because it always prompts a pile-on from Flat Earth fossil fuel fans. Always the same idiot grinning emojis, with comments like ‘hope it won’t catch fire!’, and ‘be ready to push it home when the battery goes flat!’. Took one of the hybrids to the servo this morning, for refuelling, It went to the Central Coast last week, drove around there for several days, and then home again. Then it’s driven around Lithgow all week since. About 1000km of motoring. How much fuel did it need to fill it again? 30 litres. I smiled at the big SUV and ute re-fuellers there, well into the triple digits and still pumping. 🤣
