What concerns me about this is that we already live in a culture where adult life was replaced by adolescent gangs, fighting for their respective ‘brands’ in everything (cars, coffee, clothes, energy, etc.). If petrol and diesel vehicles have to stay in the garage or slow down, because of absence of fuel, I can already imagine the possible backlash against EV owners, from the disgruntled kidults who can’t drive their combustion clunkers, or have EVs sailing past them on the freeways, at full speed.
