A new record for rooftop solar in Australia in November this year, over 330 MW of new installs in a single month. I invented a new unit of measurement, the ‘Mount Piper’, after Lithgow’s remaining coal power station. Rooftop solar in Australia is already the equivalent of 25 Mt Pipers, and is adding another 2-3 Mt Pipers every year. And is still accelerating. And costs of panels are predicted to halve again.
