It’s that time of year again, where women wallop Alan Rickman’s mid-life crisis character, and weep with Emma Thompson’s who says him being a twit makes her whole life a ‘lie’. The bizarre sexual politics of our time, where women define their self-worth around how mature and grown up men are (or more often, aren’t).
