Wednesday morning philosophy. One of my hobbies is trying to show that philosophy is as practical and important as building roads, or fixing gutters. Things don’t exist, or not exist. They *happen*. All things are EVENTS. We always forget time, we think there are objects existing ‘in time’, but that’s not true. Each thing or person or object has its own time, it has a duration that is part of how you define it. Events are like housework, a clean house has to be constantly made and maintained, it isn’t either clean or not. All objects and people are the same, they have to be maintained in existence, in each moment (that maintaining is what makes the moment, ‘time’ needs work to exist). The implications of this shift in view are huge, and apply to anything you want. Which I’ll do off and on, in future posts, in case anybody is interested, or can’t sleep. Da Vinci studied turbulence with similar thoughts, and tried to capture it in drawings.
