My first real insight into the genius of electric motors was a line trimmer (whipper snipper) my dad bought me more than 30 years ago. The Ryobi Electro Scorpion. It’s still going strong, and hasn’t once in more than 30 years needed any maintenance or oil or fuel. Just electricity. Michael Faraday’s genius engine, the electric motor, will finally get its time, and rid us of the noisy, stinking, inefficient world of combustion engines.
