I posted about the explosion of nostalgia the other day. People flocking to bands from decades ago, to religions from centuries ago, to 'trad wife' marriage models from the 1950s and earlier, etc. The world of infinitely flexible identity because of no stable hierarchies of status stresses people badly. Even basics like biological sex are grist to the identity-status culture mill. Now the Norse Gods are back.
