I think it’s important to close the loop on social media hysterias, because in the middle of them no thought is going on at all. And then afterwards nobody takes stock of what a delusional and hysterical situation it was, so it happens again the same way the next time. Like the ‘Swassticar’, Tesla-Nazi pile-on earlier this year. You can see here Tesla just had its biggest sales month in Australia *ever*. While that hysteria was going on people were righteously declaring Tesla was over, the company is evil, blah blah. Where are those people now? Swept up in a viral hysteria then, silent now. If you don’t want to be called a kidult, don’t act like one. Think instead of following the mob, as if you’re still in high school.
