They don’t want to do this obvious thing because every developer and mum and dad investor think they’d lose money, by having cheap housing in the market. But it’s not in the market, it’s public housing. We used to build lots of it. Then economic morons decided to turn public housing into a market. Housing is an essential service, it should never have become a market.
