I post about changes to energy because what’s really happening out there should amaze people. And help explain why I say the change will be fast and brutal, much much faster than people are thinking. Some examples: - Australia is installing renewables at the fastest rate per capita in the world. Nearly 10 times the world average. - the pipeline of large renewable projects ready to go is twice the capacity of our entire current electricity market - the battery storage projects underway total 23GW of capacity, nearly half the capacity of the entire grid - 3 million Australians already have solar panels, and they provide a quarter of all of our national power. In 4 years they’ll be able to provide nearly half, just on their own - all of our electricity will be able to provided regularly by renewables by 2025. That’s only 3 years away.
