Another reason I went with Tesla is that they, by design, allow you to integrate all of your energy use in the one brilliant app. This includes your vehicle use, by far the largest energy use of any family, as well as solar and batteries and EV charging. You can then monitor and control it in a huge number of ways, in the palm of your hand. It's also the gateway into their R&D, which is continuously fed back into the devices Energy is the main source of status and therefore power in our cultures. By taking control of it and generating it yourself as well, you gain enormous control over your life.
