Silicon chips are far and away the most complex things humans have ever created. Take the M3 chip, from Apple. It has 37 billion transistors etched into a piece of silicon smaller than your thumbnail. The complexity of chips is so enormous that it's actually impossible to represent the structure visually. You can't draw a plan of a chip. All of the tens of billions of transistors on chips operate in the quantum realm too, which is mind-bendingly complex. I can't describe just how impossibly complex these chips are, it almost defies belief that they even exist. There are stupendously smart people in the world, who build these things. Anonymous heroes.
