The data I shared which showed NSW, despite its rhetoric, actually has the *most* restrictive Covid measures of all the States, is also matched by global data. The countries that made the greatest noise about 'opening up' and 'living with the virus', also tend to have the greatest degree of restriction. Let the virus run, and restrictions will follow - no choice. NSW hid its degree of restriction by making hundreds of smaller restrictions, applied over longer times. Like eating a cake with a teaspoon instead of tablespoon - you still eat the same amount of cake. Except in this case, the cake grows bigger over time, with the teaspoon, the dough keeps rising.
