Say the Earth was only this big, and you were floating in space and touched it. What would happen? Nothing much, you'd still be just floating in space, and you'd feel the Earth like a ball you were hitting. Now scale up the Earth to its actual size. You come into contact with it and stay in contact. At no time, if it was tiny or big, has it created any feelings in you until you came into contact with it. That feeling of 'weight' in your body is not weight, or gravity.
