JN.1 is the current variant of concern for Covid circulating in the community. XBB1.5 is the new vaccine (I got mine before Christmas). Here’s the data on protection. I’ve circled the following scenarios in red: - didn’t get an XBB1.5 booster - got the previous ‘bivalent’ Covid booster - got 3 doses of the original Covid vaccines in 2021 - got 2 doses of the original Covid vaccines in 2021 - unvaccinated. All of these permutations have ZERO protection against hospitalisation with JN.1. People are playing with fire.
