People were gushing about this. But I dunno, here’s a thought experiment. If an unemployed person posted “I can’t get a job, would people please donate some money to tide me over”, what would the response be? Serious question, I don’t know the answer, but there’s been a lot of weird stuff sneaking under the crowdfunding radar. This is a type of charity, which is fine, but are we as accepting of other groups of people going through hard times?
