We should have been highly sceptical from the start that the financial industry was asked to determine how much super people need in retirement. It's very lucrative business for them. The 'comfortable' rating for example is a joke, very few ordinary folk will reach it, and most of them will be far better off in retirement than when they were working, even by NOT reaching it. Even worse, these ratings cost taxpayers tens of billions of dollars in concessional taxes, most of which flow to people who were already swimming in money. That's money government can't use to provide the public services ordinary people desperately need right now, while they're working.
