The face of ‘sovereign borders’. Sovereignty is the issue of our time, it’s the most dangerous and difficult idea in world history. It also explains climate change, you get 2-for-1. But then, most of us don’t study history. And we don’t discuss sovereignty. Or anything much at all, really. We send thoughts and prayers, and memes. And thus people like this are winning. The ‘Far Right’ will get the blame for this (and yes, they did it), because that plays into our culture wars, which we love. For us issues are just another form of sport, with two sides. Sovereign borders is a mainstream political idea, we’re *all* implicated. We prepared the soil.
