I was amazed they decided to push on with exams, just seems another example of how schools and kids are cannon fodder in this pandemic. I say don't be fooled by the appearance of care for education in Australia - Australians overwhelmingly use schools as a way to create status, and as childcare. Our education performance has been in free-fall for years, it took a pandemic to hinder the 'economy' for anybody to even notice schools were there. The risk management for back-to-school was lower than you'd use to hold a dog and cat show. https://www.smh.com.au/national/for-students-and-teachers-sake-it-s-time-to-stop-the-2020-hsc-exams-20200515-p54t88.html
