Here’s the double standard in public life. The Commonwealth Bank has been charged with 87 criminal offences, by ASIC. Does it register in the news? Not a lot. One union official is charged with 2 offences and is national news and outrage for weeks. On the same day I noticed that Scandinavia, with some of the healthiest economies and quality of life indicators in the world, has union membership rates of nearly 70%. Join a bloody union. Even if you don’t like them, they can save the world. In fact they may be the only thing that can.
