This is a painting. The likenesses art produces fascinate us. But do we understand why? Paint has lollipops in it. It has anything and everything in it. How is that possible?. When we say art 'looks like' something - how is it possible to look like something, using blobs of paint? It looks like a lollipop, because it IS a lollipop. A virtual, eternal lollipop. It will last as long as the painting lasts. Art isn't 'pictures of things', it's the immortal parts (the souls) of those things, folded into new materials. In this case, paint. Art is the human way of working with eternity.
