Australia, this is literally like burning cash for energy. Almost every cent of that money goes offshore, where OPEC members use it to buy gold-plated Rolls Royces. The same Made in Australia jingoism the likes of Dick Smith have made a career out of is never applied to fossil fuels. It should be, it’s insane that we send tens of billions offshore every year for energy that is available for free, here.
