I’m with her. I’d call it an ‘ordinary’ life. Habit, routine, all the things I love the most. To go back to the circle of life, I see the apparent craziness of the world today as pretty simple, the replacing of calm traditions of generations of wisdom with frantic ‘lifestyle’ and career goals. The eternal present, where you can never be fit enough, young enough, travel enough, own enough, do enough ‘new’ things. Bloody exhausting. If you step off that train and into the calm depth of routine and habit, you find peace and wisdom. Nothing is more fulfilling for me than the simple routines of everyday life. And I like getting older, we won’t get the circle of life back until we give up our ridiculous fear of age.
