We haven’t done significant travelling in years, nor do we invest in a lot of other popular recreational lifestyle things. But we did invest in the house, with proper windows, ripping the expensive gas heating out, installing solar and a battery and heat pumps. And now every square centimetre of the house is toasty warm 24 hours a day, all winter. And it doesn’t cost us a cent. Cool all summer, for the same reason.
