The extended length, 3-row Tesla Model Y has approval now to be offered in Australia. This is an amazing car. To give context, it has 500-600L more interior space than a Toyota Kluger, Prado or Landcruiser. (All back seats fold flat for a cavernous cargo area, plus a huge sub-floor storage area and front ‘frunk’.) Its 6-seat configuration is great for families, with the ‘captain’s chairs’ middle row. It will have a range of about 600 km in real world conditions, and do 0-100 in 4.5 seconds. It will save you hundreds of dollars in fuel per month over those other vehicles, and has zero servicing requirements. I talk about multiple car brands, I’m not a ‘Tesla fanboy’. They just make the best EV and home storage tech, it’s magnificent engineering.
