This is a collision testing machine for vehicles, one of the tests that gives them their safety rating, out of 5 stars. As another window into the genius engineering that sits inside Teslas, when Teslas were tested on this machine, they literally broke the machine. The car cabins are enormously strong, because they're pressed as single pieces, rather than bolted and welded together from different parts. Teslas have recorded the highest ever scores, on car safety tests. The test they use to see how a car performs when it rolls also didn't work. They couldn't make the Tesla roll.
