The Greenland ice cap is losing 30 million TONNES of ice every HOUR. To those who still pretend this is all normal, a tip. It wasn’t losing 30 million tonnes of ice an hour in our lifetimes, or anybody else’s, for at least the past 400,000 years. If the entire Greenland ice shelf melts, sea levels around the world will rise by 7.4 metres. That’s every coastal town and city in Australia completely underwater. Societies don’t survive that, most of our civilisation is in those towns and cities. They’re not portable.
