We don’t need yet another enquiry into why petrol is so expensive. It’s always the same reason - fossil fuel companies are arseholes. We already know how to fix that, the NRMA would be doing its members and us a favour by advocating to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. Meanwhile none of us need to wait for that to happen, you can buy an EV right now and be free of high fuel prices forever. Or, just keep making Arabs and Texans rich by sending 60 billion Australian dollars offshore every year, to fund their 24-carat gold-plated palaces. Can anybody think of better use of that money, here at home?
