Final on the Tesla semi for now. Jay Leno had a long chat with Tesla engineers and took one for a test drive. Quite a long video but fascinating at every moment. Little brilliant design details, like steps into the cabin from ground level, because one of the largest WHS issues for trucking is drivers climbing into and falling out of cabs. And the cabin being large enough to stand 3-5 people, so the driver can get up and stretch and walk around in the long delays truckers get. Leno is amazed when they hitch about 30 tonnes to the back with a trailer, and he doesn't even notice when driving off. It also has the same turning circle as an ordinary sedan, and half the wind resistance of a standard truck. And...the total silence. And no diesel fumes. Cities will be transformed.
