Iggy Pop at Coachella. I remember the elderly performing at big music festivals when I was young. O wait, no I don’t. They were acting their age, playing bowls. The boomers who cheer this on wouldn’t have let the elderly anywhere near a Woodstock stage. Now they refuse to move aside, to act their age. That’s their whole life, and now a whole culture. The counter-revolution, still going. Kidult culture. The young will even often defend it, and not notice how perverse it is. It only means everybody is now a kidult, irrespective of age. That’s the cultural shift, eternal adolescent life.
