All over the world, working people have had their political power reduced. The people who took that power away have at the same time steered the resulting anger away from themselves using champions of ‘the working man’. Shock jocks, tabloid press, all owned by extremely rich and powerful men responsible for the loss of the power of working people, and pretending to represent the working poor, whom they actually despise. It’s a genius strategy, all deliberate and thought out. Now we have a world where the average worker hates unions, the only political power they have, but loves Alan Jones and Ray Hadley.
