Formula 1 now has its own anti-vax movement. The anti-battery/anti-electric crowd. F1 cars have been hybrids for years already, it’s made them faster than they’ve ever been before, while using much less fuel so eliminating the need for pit stops for refuelling. This year the anti-EV/anti-renewables morons are pretending the electric parts of the drivetrain are preventing racing, and have to go. (There hasn’t been actual racing in F1 for decades, even with only combustion engines. It’s not about the engines.) This is what social media culture does to everything. Destroys it by allowing masses of stupid people to connect and coordinate their stupidity, creating a movement.
