No human group, of any size, ‘rises up’ to defeat anything. The great American myth, now foisted upon the rest of the world through its idiot invention, social media. We’re going through yet another round of impotent protest-rage, people taking to the streets to emote. None of it will change anything. Being ignorant of history and human nature is all that sustains it. What do these big crowd events copy as a model? Rock concerts. Gig culture. Not an analogy. It’s Woodstock culture, still going. The Woodstock crowd are now the richest generation in world history. ‘Down with the establishment’, they said. They now are the establishment. They created Trump, who’s putting the finishing touches on the destruction of US institutions, which Woodstock culture started.
