Some have 'range anxiety' about getting an EV. Apart from the fact nearly all Australians travel less than 40km per day, which is easily charged at home from a power point at the end of the day (like your phone), if you really are travelling somewhere remote, you can take a petrol or diesel generator with you. You'll only need about 5L of fuel to fully charge your EV, unlike the 50-150 litres of it you'll need in a petrol or diesel vehicle. In fact it makes an EV the ideal remote travelling vehicle, because you only need to carry tiny amounts of fuel to keep moving, even in places petrols and diesels struggle to go, because there aren't even traditional service stations. You're also much less likely to break down, and it's far safer than carrying hundreds of litres of reserve petrol or diesel.
