Was at the cricket yesterday. Made me think about crowds again. Have a look at the faces in any crowd, they don’t match the usual assumption about crowds, that the ‘mob’ is stupid and acts with one big, dumb mind. Every individual in a crowd acts as an individual, for their own reasons, you can see it in their faces. We tend to think crowds and individuals are 2 separate things. I don’t think they are. There is no society, as a separate thing to the individuals in it. Just as there is no separate government, no separate organisations to the people who work in them, etc. Also a famous face in this particular crowd, if you look.
