I’m serious that social media is entrenching Year 9 as our permanent adult culture. This group shows it, and is getting more granular and personal as time goes on, to the extent that some people seem incapable of doing anything now outside the platform. It’s also influential now in what happens in Bathurst. It’s not an analogy. The structure and function of social media - likes and followers - IS high school culture.
