It wasn't until I was older that I realised the path my life had taken. I'd never wanted a career, never knew what I wanted to 'be'. And that was the problem, I didn't want to 'be' anything. I wanted to understand. The one true goal of life beyond all others is to understand. The only true source of joy and love, and the only real freedom. Not understanding is what creates all sadness and suffering. We resist thinking more than we resist anything else, and ideas then make us their slaves.
