The word ‘economy’ comes from ancient Greek, where it meant ‘management of a household’. The economy is just households. Instead we’ve said it’s business, a terrible mistake. Business was invented to serve households, not the other way around. Any business can make money if you have cashed-up households (customers). Cashed-up business on the other hand doesn’t create customers. You can see it now with energy. It’s households who are revolutionising Australian energy, not business. They should be subsidised even more, to get batteries for example.
