For years now it's been illegal for politicians to deal with lobbyists from the tobacco industry. We've seen the outcome, a dramatic decrease in smoking and smoking-related illness. Now there's a possibility, led by Europe, of a similar ban being used for fossil fuel lobbyists. That would change the world.
