You are an astronaut. Seriously (this can change your life). One of the things that is so misunderstood is that what you feel in your body is not your body, it’s the FORCES that are on your body. For example, you can’t feel your weight - what we think is the feeling of weight is nothing of the sort. As this video nicely shows. You are an astronaut because the only difference between you and an astronaut ‘floating’ in orbit is that you’re next to the ground. Being near the ground doesn’t add weight to you, not the tiniest bit. What it does do is add contact forces to you, UP into your body. Once you start to feel everything in your body as a force that is due to the relationship you have with things around you, everything changes. You are floating in space, just like that astronaut, even when you’re on the ground. It’s just that the Earth constantly pushes up into you, as you float.
