I love the term ‘telepresence technologies’. Like telephones. They don’t just transmit sound, they transmit presence, if you watch somebody talk on the phone they’re animated in a similar way as if the person they’re talking to was sitting next to them, they’re not just hearing sounds. That’s a bit miraculous? How does presence move down a phone line? Maybe we don’t understand presence and the boundaries of a person very well.
