This is a precision fermenter. These may replace most farming in our lifetimes, as they’ll be able to make any food (including meat), and a lot more we’ve never dreamed of, from the microbe level up. Food will become software, you’ll be able to share new ‘recipes’ for food-brews. And they can be used anywhere, even in the middle of a city. I bet these will start debates about ‘natural’ food versus ‘artificial’ food. But we already process ‘natural’ food to make it nutritious. This way we start at the nutrition end, with the microbes.
