I had a friend who was convinced the world should run on facts. Even though 'fake news' shows facts don't speak for themselves and can be easily not believed by millions. His favourite example was this one: 2+2=4. I can think of a million ways that most simple 'fact' is wrong. 2 cups + 2 cats = what? Not 4 of anything. Etc.
