This day, at the beginning of May, was a turning point for Australia. A large group of Australian experts from a huge range of fields advised the government to hold that first wave lockdown for a few more weeks, to stamp out Covid entirely across the country. ScoMo was having none of it. If NSW and Victoria had stayed closed just a few more weeks back then, the entire country would have been Covid-free 4 months go.
