Another tragic story in the news today about a cyclist killed by a motorist, whose attention lapsed for a moment. Bikes on roads is an emotional issue for people. And putting to one side whether there should I be more dedicated cycleways - I’d say obviously yes. Today’s story made me think about it again - should they both be sharing roads? A momentary lapse of concentration is not unusual for any normal person, and if it’s another car that gets dinged, it rarely causes anybody much harm. But it can be deadly for a cyclist. Is bikes on roads like having Little Athletics events on the runway at Mascot?
