Ever noticed that the more we fiddle with 'clock-time', like Daylight Savings and ridiculously long working days, and only 2-4 weeks of holiday per year when our ancestors had 14-26, the busier we get? That's because the two problems are actually the same problem. We live by the clock, rather than by events.
